Check now

I'm running:
502, 503, 505 and 506

Those allow me to place everything I need.
502 is used for only
503 for to and some other stuff
505 for SO IC packages, D Tantal, ...
506 for bigger ICs

If I would be using a changer then I would go for more tips, but
with 4 picker it is a good combination to get every part done without
requiring manual change.
For speed reasons a changer is still something I consider as almost all
the work is currently done with the 503 tip.

The 505 and 506 have rubber tips, the other 2 have steel ends.
503 and 505 alone might do the business for you, but I've noticed that
some LEDs need the bigger 506 tip and I don't think the 503 can
be used for parts.
I know that with the LED not working with the 506 tip since I did
several LED and really liked to use two tips.
When I continue doing the remaining boards I will very likely swap the
505 tip for another 506 as I've bought more than one set of tips.

My problem is that my 4-head from Robotdigg came preassembled with tip
holders and I don't know what shaft size the motors have.
I even assume they are threaded.
I don't think the Betz holders would fit my machine :-(

Some tips about how to choose a original used SMT ...

Usually many factories will choose a original used SMT machines because of the cost ,less risk. There are so many brands of SMT machines in the markets ,such as Samsung ,FUJI,JUKI,Yamaha ,Panasonic ect,. So how to choose will be always a problem for us. Here are some tips for your reference and hope it can help you.

  1. The capacity on the production line.is the first thing we should consider.

If the produce line output is very high you can choose a effective and high speed one. So that it can meet your demands.

2.Whether the machine is Well known brand abroad

Usually the well known brand abroad used machine will be in a better condition because most foreign factories especially in Western , their working hour is very regular. And most of them pay attention to keep the machines in a good condition. They also spend time making the improvement about that.So it will be better if you choose a big factory to buy the used one abroad.

For more information, please visit KF-SMT.

3.Pay attention to the year of the machine

Although some machines are the same model they are also quite different due to different year. Such as the function ,speed, degree of precision and so on. So if you want to repair or exchange any spare parts that would be a problem . Some old year machines' spare parts has been out of market. You may can not find the spare parts to repair. If so that machine is useless.

4.If there is after sale service nor not.

Whether support the repairing service ,training ,especially the engineers can be sent abroad nor not. Usually the used machine needs to adjust and their old engineers know more about the machine .

  5.Don't blindly accept others' recommendations.

Many factories and suppliers will recommend you machines and we will receive many recommendation from them. Maybe the price is good but we should think more about our products ,which kind of PCB or products you are producing now. Whether there is any special request and which kind of machine can meet the demand.

These tips are just for your reference if you have any good idea about that, welcome to show us.
