What is MSS SP 95?

SP 95 MSS Swage One of the industrially utilized forged fittings, nipples are frequently employed as reducers to bring pipes of various diameters together using buttwelds or screws. Another name for it is a decreasing nipple.

Swage nipples come in smaller sizes and with more end varieties than pipe reducers.

Dimensions, finish, tolerances, marking, and material for carbon steel and alloy steel are covered by MSS SP 95. Swaged Bull Plugs (solid or hollow male closures), NPS 1/8 through NPS 12 (DN 6 through DN 300), and (a) Nipples (male-end reduction fittings), NPS 1/8 through NPS 12 (DN 6 through DN 300).

These fittings can have threaded, square-cut, beveled, grooved, or any combination of these ends. Swaged Nipples are both eccentric and concentric.

NPS 1/4 through NPS 12. These fittings can have threaded, square-cut, beveled, grooved, or any combination of these ends. There are both eccentric and concentric swage nipples present.

mss sp95 standard specifies dimensions, finish, tolerances, marking, and material of concentric/ eccentric swage nipple and bull plug

Can we demand larger size then specified by MSS-SP-95 starndard for concentric/ eccentric swage nipple?

During a pipe fitting, the forged Socket Weld Reducer is the part that reduces the pipe’s size from an oversized to a smaller diameter.

The diminution’s length is the same as the difference between pipes with more fantastic and smaller diameters. Socket Weld Eccentric Reducers and Socket Weld Concentric Reducers are the two significant varieties of MSS SP95 bull plug available.

The Socket Weld concentric and Socket Weld eccentric Reducer were necessary when the pipe system needed to be maintained at the top or bottom levels. Metric-size Forged Socket Weld Reducers are produced.

Operations involving hot and cold working are part of the manufacturing process. These are also treated from metal treatment processes to achieve the required mechanical qualities and attributes. These methods also improve forged Socket Weld Reducer Pipe Fittings’ corrosion resistance.

Every socket weld concentric reducer is examined and tested according to the applicable product standard (ASME/ANSI B16.11, MSS-SP-79). According to each ASTM Standard, each weld in MSS sp-95 bull plug pipe fittings must undergo a complete radiographic examination.

Both ends of this thread are male pipe threads. Two material tubes of various diameters are connected using a reducer. The reducer has a male pipe thread on both ends. Each end of the hose will have the proper Kamlock size to join the hoses together.

Standard size range for mss sp 95 is NPS 1/8 to NPS 12 for swage nipple and bull plug, which can be made with ends that are beveled, threaded, grooved, square cut

What are the various materials with which we can manufactured swage nipple and bull plug according to mss sp-95 standard?

All dimensions up to 4″ in diameter are made traditionally. Could offer larger sizes if customers request them. Can produce these components to any extent and design permitted by MSS-SP95. According to the customer’s design requirements, we can take more measures.

Materials that meet the MSS sp-95 swage nipple A105, A234 WPB, A403, A420, B564, or any ASME counterparts can be used to make parts. Most brass and carbon, stainless, or alloy steels can be used to make piping components, depending on the customer’s material requirements.

Pipe reducer products like swage nipples join pipes of various sizes. Concentric swage nipples have several different end shapes, but the TBE (threaded both ends) kind is the most common.
