Stamping Press PLC Program Help - Interactive Q & A

First you need to convince the customer to use a safety PLC, not a DL205 or any other standard PLC. 2-hand controls have some very stringent operating requirements for safety and redundancy in the controls.

I have built panels for stamping presses and would advise anyone with less than 10 years of programming experience and another 10 years experience working on stamping press controls to not get involved.

If you do work on that press (or any machine for that matter) you will be liable for any injury or death caused by that machine for as long as it is in use, even with a change in ownership and future changes to the controls. Make sure you have a good liability insurance policy in effect and document everything you did and didn't do, and why, and keep those records forever. (Maybe people are less sue-happy in Canada?)
