The best way to place your order is by phone. If ordering call 785-689-4341 or toll free at 1-800-536-4341 . We will collect as much information as possible about the stair you wish to order as well as a $100.00 credit card deposit to reserve your place in line. This original deposit is non-refundable. Build time is usually 3 – 8 weeks from the date of the original deposit plus an extra 7 – 14 days for shipping. Wood stairs may take a bit more time.
Since these are custom built stairs we will require a deposit balance of 50% of the total estimated cost of the stair or up to $1,000.00 total, along with a signed proposal. Some higher priced stairs or multiple stair orders may require a higher deposit. Both the full deposit and the signed proposal are required in order for your stair to hold its place in the production line. All final balances are to be paid prior to shipment or at the time of delivery.
The original deposit is commonly made via credit card and no extra charge is involved, but the prices shown on proposals and invoices are shown as cash discounts and a 3% fee will be added to any credit card charges made above the original $100.00 deposit.
Cost varies widely from shipper to shipper and weight also varies on the different sizes and types of spiral stairs. Most spiral staircases will vary between $150 to $1000 for freight cost, although some may cost more. We do realize that freight cost could alarm some customers. However, to get the most strength, cleanest line, and best looking spiral stairs possible, it needs to be welded into one solid structure.
Because of the bulk of the stairs, the freight will go to a higher rate. You will get a more attractive spiral staircase that is already assembled so that you don’t have to do it yourself. Wood spiral staircases are disassembled and boxed for shipping, and will go at a lower freight rate.
If the area is ready for the spiral stairs to be installed, two people can usually install it in less than an hour. All that is left is installing the wood railing and carpeting the steps.
The Easy Living Spiral Staircase takes longer to carpet than the Standard Spiral Stairs. The Standard Spiral Staircase is carpeted in about an hour. The All Wood Spiral Staircase is shipped disassembled and takes four to six hours to reassemble.
Our spiral stairs can be easily corkscrewed through the door. A 5′ diameter spiral staircase will fit through a 35″ door. A 4 1/2′ diameter spiral staircase fits through a 32″ door and a 4′ spiral staircase fits through a 29″ door.
Spiral staircases will not go down a hallway. If you do have a hallway to go through, we will send your spiral stairs in two sections so that it will fit through narrow spaces. It then takes five screws to put it back together. The only difference is a seam in the center of the pipe.
Yes, we can make our spiral staircases to meet most codes. If you do fall under a certain code, tell us when you order and we will make certain that your spiral staircase complies with your code. 2015 and 2018 IRC Codes
If you find a need to cancel your order the deposit balance is usually refundable (with the exception of the original $100.00) as long as no work has begun on the stair, but if work has already begun up to 25% of the total cost of the stair will be kept.
Deposit balances on some special orders of uncommon sizes, styles etc. may not be refunded at all. Cost of any special order materials purchased prior to cancellation may not be refunded either.
