The CCC mark on tempered glass is the mark of China Compulsory Certification (CCC certification). CCC certification is a product conformity assessment system implemented by the Chinese government to protect consumers' personal safety and national security and strengthen product quality management. As safety glass, tempered glass must pass CCC certification before it can be put into use.
The full name of CCC certification is China Compulsory Product Certification System, and the English abbreviation is 3C certification. This certification system requires that products must comply with relevant safety standards and technical specifications to ensure product reliability and safety. Due to its safety performance, tempered glass is included in the 3C compulsory certification product catalog. Each piece of tempered glass must have the 3C mark.
The CCC mark usually consists of two parts: the upper part is the 3C mark within an oval, and the lower part is a combination of letters plus 6 digits. These letters and numbers represent the manufacturer that processed the piece of glass. Users can confirm the manufacturer's information through the certificate query system of the China Quality Certification Center by entering the letter and number codes below the logo.
In addition, there is a simple way to determine the authenticity of the CCC mark. Regular tempered glass logos are printed on before tempering. After tempering, the logo will be printed into the glass and will not be easily scratched off with a knife. Counterfeit tempered glass logos are mostly printed directly on the glass surface and are easily scratched off.
