An edge-glued board is the result of the union of several slats glued sideways. This is how one of the most popular and most consumed wooden boards is formed, the solid wood board.
What are the measures of an edge-glued board? The measurements of an edge-glued board are usually mm long by mm wide, while the most popular thicknesses are usually 15, 18, 22 and 30 mm
These boards that make up the solid wood board, may or may not have the same width, and the same happens with the length.
If the length that the edge-glued board should make is not reached, which will normally be mm or mm, finger joint is used. This is a technique that assembles two boards shorter than the one required to achieve the desired measure. If you interlace your fingers, you will fully understand what we are talking about!
